Legislation that come in to force on 1st January 2000 requires all companies that move more than a certain level of dangerous goods to have appointed a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA).
Tom Smith is one of the first accredited DGSAs in the UK, and Davas offers a cost-effective service for small businesses.
A DGSA may either be limited to one class of dangerous goods, or to the whole range of dangerous goods. In addition the qualification is MODE specific (ie Road, Rail or Canal!). Tom is qualified to be a DGSA for ALL CLASSES by ROAD.
The cost of providing a DGSA service depend to a greater or lesser extent on the way you manage transport activities now. As part of the initial service we will:-
Depending on the industry sector and likely work involved we estimate that providing this service will cost approx £500-£1000 per annum.
The other main duty of a DGSA is to investigate and report on accidents - this part of the service will be in addition to the standard service outlined above.
